BERALIYA FOREST - SRI LANKA

Many travellers visits Sri Lanka for many tourism places, but sometimes they missed the awesome places that dissimilar to any other. Such as ‘Andahelena Water fall’ in the forest called ‘Beraliya’.

It’s located in Pituwala, around 6 Km east of Elpitiya City in Galle, Southern District and covered area around 4774 hectares. And Andahelena water fall is about 12m in height. Around 15 minutes’ walk through the Beraliya forest crossing the small streams and covered trees such as ankenda (Acrounychia pedunculata), bakmee (Nauclea orientalis), ehela (Cassia fistula), aarididda (Camponosperme zeylenice), , batadomba (Canarium zeylenicum), telkekuna, gotha (Pedalium murex), wanasapu (Cananga odorata), venivel (Coscinium fenestratum) and alsahora will direct you to the water fall. After you go further passing the water fall will come cross a natural pool which is prefect to have a nice bath.   


And also in the Beraliya Forest is also positioned the ‘Divankara Lena’ (Divankara Cave). It is a beautiful cave temple on a rock plaque which was built by Tea Estate owner. Beraliya Forest with a cool weather and calm environment will bring you a new experience to your memories as an adventure.
